What It Is

The Petronas Twin Towers are the defining feature of Kuala Lumpur's skyline. Completed in 1998, they held the title of the world's tallest buildings until 2004 and remain the tallest twin structures anywhere. The towers sit above Suria KLCC mall and are surrounded by the 50-acre KLCC Park, complete with a jogging track, wading pool and fountains.

Visitors can access two levels: the Skybridge connecting the two towers at Level 41 (170 metres above street level) and the Observation Deck at Level 86 (370 metres). The visit includes a guided multimedia experience covering the towers' construction history and the national petroleum company behind them.

Ticket Options and Prices

As of 2026, there are two ticket tiers. The Skybridge-only ticket (RM80 adults, RM33 children aged 3–12) gives you access to Levels 41 and 42, including around 10 minutes on the bridge itself plus indoor exhibits. The Skybridge plus Observation Deck package (RM100 adults, RM43 children) adds Level 86 for panoramic city views. Weekend and public holiday rates are slightly higher — RM137 for adults with the full package. Children under three enter free.

Book tickets online through the official website. Slots sell out 3 to 7 days in advance during peak season. Same-day walk-in tickets are available from the box office at the tower base, but morning slots often sell out by 10 am.

Best Time to Visit

Weekday mornings from 9 am to 10 am offer the shortest queues and the clearest views before haze builds. If you want sunset photos from the observation deck, aim for a slot between 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm — the towers face west, so the light is exceptional. Avoid Mondays entirely, as the towers are closed for maintenance.

How to Get There

KLCC station sits directly beneath the towers, served by both the Kelana Jaya LRT line and the MRT Putrajaya line. From the station, escalators lead into Suria KLCC mall. By car, enter via Jalan Ampang or Jalan P. Ramlee and follow signs to the basement car park. Grab ride-hailing drop-offs work best at the Suria KLCC main entrance on Jalan Ampang.
