Petronas Twin Towers Skybridge, Kuala Lumpur

The evening view from the Skybridge at Level 41 is a completely different experience from daytime. Standing between the two towers at 170 metres with KL Tower, the Trade Centre cluster and Merdeka 118 all glowing around you is incredible. Book at least a day ahead for slots after 6 pm.

RM80 for adults and RM33 for children. Last entry is 8:30 pm with closing at 9 pm. The sensation of being between the two towers with the city spread out below is distinctive at night. The surrounding skyscrapers form a glowing ring. Closed every Monday — do not forget.

We got an evening slot at 7 pm and the city lighting was at full intensity by the time we reached the observation deck on Level 86. The view from inside the towers looking out is the opposite perspective of what most tourists get, and it is worth paying for. The guided multimedia section was informative.

The view is great but the time on the Skybridge itself is limited to about 10 minutes before staff move you along. For RM80, I expected more time. Evening slots sell out quickly so online booking is essential. The KLCC LRT station is right underneath which is convenient.

The evening entry is worth the premium over daytime. The city lighting transforms the view dramatically. We combined this with the KLCC Park fountain show at 9 pm after our 7:30 pm Skybridge slot. Tuesday through Sunday only, and arrive 15 minutes before your slot or they cancel your booking.
