About KL Tower Observation Deck
KL Tower stands 421 metres tall on Bukit Nanas, and its Observation Deck at 276 metres provides a full 360-degree panorama of the city. At night, the view is dominated by the Petronas Twin Towers to the northeast, the Bukit Bintang corridor to the southeast and the distant Titiwangsa mountain range on clear evenings. The enclosed deck has information panels identifying landmarks, making it easy to orient yourself.
The open-air SkyTerrace, one level above, lets you step outside for unobstructed photography — wind permitting. The Observation Deck ticket costs RM52 for adults and the SkyTerrace is RM105. Both remain open until 10 pm, so evening visits are possible. Sunset visits (arriving by 6:30 pm) offer the full golden-hour-to-night transition. KL Tower is accessible by a short Grab ride or a steep walk up Bukit Nanas from Jalan P. Ramlee. Buy tickets online in advance to skip the counter queue.

★★★★★September 2026
The 360-degree panorama at 276 metres is incredible at night. The Petronas Towers to the northeast are the highlight but the Bukit Bintang corridor and distant Titiwangsa range are visible on clear evenings. The information panels make it easy to identify every landmark.

We went for the SkyTerrace at RM105 and the open-air experience was worth the premium over the enclosed observation deck at RM52. Standing outside at 300 metres with the night breeze and the city glowing below was memorable. Buy tickets online to skip the counter queue.

Timed our visit for 6:30 pm and caught the full golden-hour-to-night transition. The sunset turned the sky orange behind the KL skyline and then watching every building light up one by one was magical. The deck stays open until 10 pm which gives you plenty of time.

★★★☆☆June 2026
Observation deck itself is good but it was hazy during our June visit so visibility was limited. The enclosed deck felt a bit cramped on a Saturday evening. Try to come on a weekday and check haze conditions beforehand. Grab ride up Bukit Nanas is the easiest way to get here.

★★★★☆April 2026
The view of the Petronas Towers from KL Tower at night is the shot you see in every KL travel guide. We spent about 40 minutes on the observation deck. The SkyTerrace one level above lets you step outside for unobstructed photography. Wind can be strong up there so hold onto your phone.
