About Havana KL
Havana KL brings Latin music and dance to the TREC complex. The venue focuses on salsa, bachata, reggaeton and Latin pop, attracting a crowd that actually dances rather than standing at the edge of the floor. Regular salsa and bachata nights draw both experienced dancers and beginners, with the atmosphere encouraging participation over observation. The music shifts to heavier reggaeton as the night progresses.
Cover charges run RM40 to RM70, making it one of the more affordable TREC options. The venue opens an hour earlier than the main clubs — 9 pm — which means the dance floor gets moving sooner. Some nights include free salsa lessons before the main party. Havana is the pick for anyone who wants a Latin-flavoured evening in KL, or simply a dance floor where movement matters more than table service.

Finally a proper Latin club in KL. The salsa and bachata nights on Thursdays are fantastic. Live percussion accompanies the DJ and the dance floor is always full. Cover was RM40 including one drink. The mojitos here are some of the best I have had in Southeast Asia.

Great atmosphere with the Cuban-inspired decor. Saturday night had a reggaeton and Latin pop mix that got everyone moving. Cover was RM70 but included two drinks. Bottle service for rum starts at RM500. Dress code is smart casual, no flip-flops or shorts.

★★★☆☆June 2026
Fun concept but it gets extremely crowded on weekends and the dance floor feels small when packed. The RM70 cover is on the high side. Music is a good mix of salsa, merengue and modern Latin hits. The outdoor terrace at TREC is a nice escape when you need air.

Havana is our go-to for Latin dance nights. They offer free beginner salsa lessons before the main event on Thursdays, which is a nice touch. The DJ knows how to read the crowd and transitions between classic salsa and modern Latin seamlessly. Cover was RM40.

The live band nights are worth the trip to TREC. Tight six-piece group playing Cuban classics and Latin jazz. Cover was RM60 on a Friday. The rum cocktail menu is extensive with around ten varieties. Gets going late, do not arrive before 10:30 pm or it will feel empty.
