About the View at 118 (Merdeka 118)
Merdeka 118 stands at 678.9 metres, making it the second-tallest building in the world. The View at 118, the planned observation deck near the top of the tower, is expected to become the highest observation point in Southeast Asia once it opens. From that altitude, the entire KL metropolitan area — including the Petronas Towers, KL Tower, Batu Caves ridge and the distant coast — would be visible on clear nights.
As of October 2026, The View at 118 has not yet opened for public ticket sales, and no official pricing or opening date has been announced. The 118 Mall at the tower's base is scheduled to open in November 2026. Until the observation deck opens, Merdeka 118 can be admired from the outside — its illuminated spire is visible from most viewpoints across the city and has already become a defining element of the KL night skyline. Check the official Merdeka 118 website before planning a visit.

★★★★☆September 2026
Merdeka 118 at 678.9 metres is the second-tallest building in the world and its illuminated spire is now a defining part of the KL night skyline. The observation deck is not open yet as of October 2026 though, so we could only admire it from outside. The triangular glass facade looks futuristic at night.

★★★☆☆August 2026
Came hoping to visit The View at 118 but it has not opened for public ticket sales yet. The 118 Mall is scheduled for November 2026. You can see the tower from most viewpoints across the city, and it is impressive from street level near the Warisan Merdeka precinct, but there is no interior access beyond the Park Hyatt hotel.

★★★★☆July 2026
When this observation deck finally opens it will be Southeast Asia highest. For now, the tower is best viewed from other spots — it looks incredible from KL Tower, Titiwangsa Lake and even KLCC Park. The entire KL metropolitan area including Petronas Towers, Batu Caves ridge and the distant coast would be visible from the top.

★★★★★June 2026
Just seeing the building in person is worth it even without the observation deck. At 118 floors, it dwarfs everything around it. The glass spire catches the last light at sunset beautifully. Walked over from Merdeka MRT station in 3 minutes. Will definitely come back once The View at 118 opens.

★★★☆☆April 2026
No public access to the observation deck yet, which was disappointing. The official website has no confirmed date or pricing. In the meantime, KL Tower and Petronas Skybridge are the city observation deck options. Merdeka 118 is impressive to photograph from outside though — check it out at night when the spire is lit.
