The head-on symmetrical view of the Petronas Towers from Level 33 is the postcard shot of KL. The infinity pool at the terrace edge adds a mirror-like foreground that photographers love. We arrived at 6 pm for guaranteed seating and the towers fully lit up by 8 pm. Cocktails RM45 to RM85.

The straight-on angle of the twin towers from SkyBar is the view you see on travel magazines. The terrace fills up on weekends so get there early. Drinks are not cheap but you are paying for the view as much as the cocktail. Short walk from KLCC station.

Best rooftop bar view in KL, hands down. We could even see the KLCC fountain show from up here on a clear night, though it is better experienced at park level. The towers illumination at full intensity from 8 pm onward is mesmerising from this vantage point.

The view is excellent but the cocktails are overpriced at RM65 to RM85 for signature drinks. We went on a Saturday at 7 pm and there was a 30-minute wait for a terrace table with a tower view. If you are on a budget, the KLCC Park fountain show is free and arguably just as good.

Came for sunset and stayed for the night view. The transition from golden hour to full city lights from Level 33 is something special. The infinity pool terrace is the prime spot. We combined this with the 9 pm KLCC Park fountain show at street level for a complete twin towers experience.
