About PULP by Papa Palheta
PULP is the Malaysian outpost of Singapore-based PPP Coffee (formerly Papa Palheta), housed inside the former cutting room of the Art Printing Works, a historical printing factory in Bangsar. The sun-filled space features high ceilings, concrete floors and decorative industrial machinery from the original press. Coffee is not just served here; it is studied. PULP hosts public cupping sessions and coffee appreciation workshops for those who want to go deeper than a flat white.
The coffee menu rotates seasonally, with single-origin lots sourced directly from farms across Southeast Asia, Africa and Central America. A standard espresso-based drink costs RM14 to RM16. The cold brew and nitro coffee are standouts, with the nitro pouring as creamy as a stout. Food is limited to pastries and light bites rather than a full brunch menu. PULP closes at 6 pm, so plan for a morning or afternoon visit. The cafe is a five-minute Grab ride from the Bangsar LRT station. Parking is available at Art Printing Works. Card accepted.

The nitro cold brew here pours like a stout — creamy, smooth and genuinely impressive. The Art Printing Works setting with its industrial printing machinery and high ceilings makes it feel more like a coffee museum than a cafe. Espresso drinks are RM14 to RM16.

Attended the public cupping session on a Saturday morning and it was brilliant — tasted five different origins and learned a lot from the team. The single-origin lots are sourced directly from farms across Southeast Asia and Africa. A serious coffee destination.

Beautiful space but limited food — mainly pastries and light bites, so do not come expecting brunch. The cold brew is one of the best in KL. Parking available at Art Printing Works. Five-minute Grab from Bangsar LRT station. Closes at 6 pm, plan accordingly.

PULP is the Malaysian outpost of PPP Coffee from Singapore and it shows — the quality and care behind every cup is evident. The sun-filled space with concrete floors is perfect for a quiet morning coffee. Seasonal lot from Guatemala was exceptional.

The espresso extraction is consistently clean and balanced. Staff are knowledgeable and happy to recommend based on your preferences. Not the biggest space, so weekends can feel crowded. Card accepted. A top-three coffee spot in KL for me.
